Sophia's Baby Layette Set

One of a kind, handmade baby girl's dress and bloomer set perfect for Easter Sunday or baby's first birthday.   Fifteen strips of imported Swiss embroidered trims, entredeux and Swiss beading with pink flowers and satin ribbon were sewn together to create the bodice of this dress.   The delicate bodice is lined and the bottom edge is framed with a row of Swiss embroidered trim.  The dress and bloomers, made of Imperial Batiste pink fabric is soft and resistant to wrinkles.  The short puff sleeves are gathered onto Swiss embroidered edging with entredeux.  The ruffled collar with bias banding was inspired by royal and European fashion.  The skirt of the dress features three tiny inverted pleats in the front and back.  The front pleats align with the strips of Swiss beading in the bodice.  The hemline of the dress has the same Swiss embroidered edging with entredeux as used on the sleeves.  A pair of matching bloomers complete the ensemble.  The leg openings are trimmed with the Swiss embroidered edging just perfect for chunky thighs.   A soft pink embroidery floss is threaded through the entredeux of the Swiss edging on the sleeves, hemline and bloomers.  Tiny white satin ribbon bows were added to the high waist, sleeves and bloomers.  

This dress is a size 12 months.  Fit's 18-22 lbs, Chest 19".  It is intentionally a little shorter to show off the bloomers and those chunky thighs.  The measurement down the center back from the top of the neck to the bottom edge is 14 1/2".
